On 22 September 2026, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (HSA), Germany and École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Rabat (ENSMR), Morocco signed an agreement aimed at building an academic and cultural bridge between the higher education institutions in both countries. The importance of this undertaking was underlined by the presence and support of the German Embassy to the Kingdom of Morocco, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the signing ceremony at ENSMR in Rabat.

The new agreement is a continuation of the existing collaborative MOU and forms the first concrete step in the area of mobility for Moroccan students from ENSMR, enabling them to complete part of their studies in Germany in the Master International Trade (M.B.A.) program at HSA and familiarize themselves with the German higher education system through an exchange semester.

Both universities are committed to further strengthen and extend academic exchange to PhD candidates and intensify the collaboration towards an envisioned goal of creating a dual degree program with focus on green renewable energy in the future.
