Dear Students,
A warm welcome to Anhalt University of Applied Sciences! I am very pleased to welcome you to the new 2026–27 winter semester—whether you are just beginning your studies or have been part of our university for some time.
With more than 2,700 international students from 110 countries, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is one of the most international universities in Germany. People from all over the world study, teach, conduct research, and work at our three campuses in Bernburg, Dessau, and Köthen. This diversity shapes our campus life and makes our university a place where different cultures, experiences, and perspectives come together.
International University Day “Anhalt – Open to the World”
Our International University Day “Anhalt – Open to the World,” taking place this week, offers a first opportunity to get to know this international community. I would like to extend a warm invitation to all of you to attend.
On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Ratke-Gebäude (Building 23 - Köthen), an international program featuring music, dance, and personal stories awaits you. Students from various countries will share insights into their home countries and cultures, showcasing the diversity of our international community.
Take this opportunity to engage in conversation, meet new people, and experience Anhalt University of Applied Sciences as a place where internationalism and openness to the world are put into practice.
