Last week, our team held a one-day AI workshop with Falko Werner from the do.institute. The workshop centred on the practical use of AI tools in day-to-day work – with a particular focus on AI agents. We shared our experiences with various language models and discussed their potential applications in research, literature reviews, programming, visualisation and text generation. Other topics included a conscious and reflective approach to AI, data protection issues (e.g. in the context of the EU AI Act), effective prompting strategies and the appropriate choice of models for different use cases. Agent functions such as Deep Research or advanced thinking modes, as well as their integration into existing work processes, were also presented and tested.
The workshop provided us with valuable insights into the responsible and efficient use of AI in everyday university life!
