Food Technology (part-time Master's program, distance learning)
Food Technology is an interdisciplinary science and covers the entire food production process. Like the plant and animal raw materials from which they are produced, foods are complex material systems whose properties change during processing and storage. Food Technology therefore deals with the physical, chemical, microbiological, Process Technology and Business Studies aspects of the production of food from raw material to high-quality product. Food Technology provides knowledge of ingredient determination, recipe development, selection of the best possible production process with the associated machines and automated systems as well as packaging. Against this backdrop, the course content and the subsequent career opportunities are very varied and interesting.
You will be able to apply advanced scientific methods and findings across disciplines, recognize problems and develop solutions.
The degree program is particularly suitable if you would like to take on management tasks within the food industry in the future.
The degree enables you to take up a doctorate and gain access to senior civil service careers in public authorities.
