Applying with a degree in ...
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree or comparable academic degree [Dipl., Dipl.(FH) etc.] in a degree program with a normal program length of at least 7 semesters (min. 210 ECTS) in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (or a comparable field of study) are admitted to this program without reservation and without conditions.
You can apply via our online application portal by March 15 or September 15 of each calendar year.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our Degree Program Advisor (contact details on the right) - also in advance of your application.
Even if you have a Bachelor's degree in a degree program with a normal program length of 6 semesters (180 ECTS) in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (or a comparable field of study), you are welcome to apply for a place on this Master's program via our online application portal.
In this case, you must complete propaedeutic coursework amounting to 30 ECTS before the regular start of your studies, i.e. before participating in the classes and examinations of the modules of the master's degree program - e.g. by completing modules of our 7-semester Bachelor's degree program Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning.
Your admission to the master's degree program will therefore be subject to the condition that you complete the required propaedeutic coursework.
The type and content of the propaedeutic coursework to be completed will be determined in a personal study plan based on your individual previous education. This will be attached to your admission to the degree program.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our Degree Program Advisor (contact details on the right) - also in advance of your application.
The background to this regulation is that, in accordance with the Model Ordinance on the Interstate Treaty on the Accreditation of Studies (resolution of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany dated 07.12.2017), the total standard period of full-time study to obtain a Master's degree in consecutive degree programs must be at least five years (ten semesters) or coursework amounting to at least 300 ECTS credit points must be completed.
The degree program in which you obtained a Bachelor's degree or a comparable degree [e.g. Dipl.-Ing., Dipl.-Ing.(FH)] does not bear the designation "Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning"?
The comparability of the subject area in which you obtained your degree will be regularly examined and determined on a case-by-case basis after your application has been received.
