Study
Duration of study, place of study and degree
The normal program length of the dual degree program, including the Master's thesis, is four semesters and can be extended to eight semesters.
Upon successful completion of the master's degree program in Taxes and Accounting (courses taught in English and German), the academic degree "Master of Arts (M.A.) in Taxes and Accounting (courses taught in English and German)" is awarded.
In contrast to other degree programs, there is a permanent alternation between professional practice and theoretical training at a high level. Cooperation agreements establish a link between the university, the cooperating institution and the student. During their practical work, students receive intensive support from an instructor at the university.
The Taxes and Accounting (courses taught in English and German) master's degree program is a dual degree program subject to fees.
Enrolment generally takes place in the winter and summer semesters. Theoretical knowledge is taught in blocks (one week per semester) and every two to three weeks on Fridays and Saturdays, which can be permanently applied in practical work.
In the 1st and 2nd semesters, you will acquire basic knowledge in the fields of applied business administration, finance, Business Law and basic knowledge of auditing and tax law. You will work on a practical case in the cooperating institution.
In the 3rd and 4th semesters, you will deepen your knowledge of tax law and auditing and complete a seminar paper at the cooperating institution.
The Master's thesis is completed in the 4th semester.
Fees and payment modalities
- The total cost of the fee-based master's degree program is 10,500 euros.
- Payment is made semester by semester and therefore in four installments. Alternative payment arrangements and the use of student grants are possible.
