Tasks and fields of activity:

  • Chemical-physical analysis of honey: Moisture, electrical conductivity, color, viscosity
  • Sensory analysis: Smell, taste, texture
  • Potentiometric determination of the free acid content
  • Photometric quality analysis of the ripeness and naturalness of the honey: Distase content, invertase activity, proline content, HMF content
  • Melissopalynological determination of the origin of the honey (pollen analysis under development)
  • Rapid analysis of honeys brought to events (University Open Day, Bernburg Beekeepers' Day, Apisticus Day): “My honey in numbers“

Technical equipment:

Cooled incubator, photometer, precision refractometer, conducting meter, reflectometer, microscope
