The Degree Program Advisor is provided by the Department and supports students by offering subject-specific advice during their studies, in particular on options for structuring the program sequence, and provides support in the event of personal disruptions to the program sequence. By the end of the first year of study, the Degree Program Advisor provides information on the program sequence to date, informs students and, if necessary, conducts a study consultation. For each degree program, the Department assigns a professor with the task of Degree Program Advisor.

The examinations committee is appointed to organize the examinations and to perform and comply with the tasks assigned by these examination regulations. It reports regularly to the Department Executive Committee on the development of examinations and study periods and makes suggestions for the reform of these examination regulations and the study regulations; particular importance is to be attached to compliance with the normal program length and examination deadlines. It deals with appeal proceedings.

The Internship Coordinator of the degree program is the contact person for students in matters relating to the internship. Recognition of the specialist internship is granted by the Internship Coordinator on the basis of a confirmation from the company or a certificate.

The Gender Equality Representative works towards creating equal opportunities for women and men and avoiding disadvantages for female members of the Department.
She supports all processes that affect female members of the department, in particular upcoming personnel measures. The Gender Equality Representative participates in meetings of the Department Executive Committee with voting rights and may attend meetings of other collegial bodies of the Department in an advisory capacity. She is also a member of the university's Equal Opportunities Commission.
The Gender Equality Representative and her deputy are elected by the female members of the Department in committee elections for a four-year term in accordance with the Basic Regulations.

The Department's representative for international affairs is responsible for coordinating the Department's international relations. He informs and supports the Department's staff and students in establishing contacts with foreign partner universities and other institutions.
