A very special panel discussion
Students at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences contribute to the heterogeneity of local society. They shape campus life and have become an integral part of the city's life.
At the invitation of the Multicultural Center Dessau e.V. and the Dessau KIEZ cinema, the Dessau students took part in a panel discussion with director Jakob Preuss. His documentary film "Als Paul über das Meer kam" was screened beforehand.
The audience had the opportunity to share their impressions with the filmmaker and lead actor Paul Nkamani and ask questions about the film's design and social context.
The occasion for this was the Day of the Refugee, initiated by PRO ASYL, which is an integral part of the Intercultural Week. It always takes place on the Friday of the action week - in 2021 it will be October 1.
Refugee Day offers the opportunity to once again draw attention to the issues of flight, asylum, migration and sea rescue as part of the IKW.
