Promotion of technology transfer activities within the framework of KAT

Food and nutrition research" sub-project at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences

Promotion

The project is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of Saxony-Anhalt (duration 01.05.2016 to 30.09.2022).

Goal

The working group is integrated into the KAT competence network as an "innovation laboratory for process and product development of semi-solid foods of animal origin". Its expertise lies in the development of innovative food production processes and product development for functional foods.

In order to increase the rate of innovation, particularly in regional SMEs, and thus make a sustainable contribution to increasing their market opportunities, the Innovation Lab's remit includes the following key areas:

  • Identifying potential SMEs and markets for transferring research results into marketable products.
  • Identifying the innovation needs of SMEs by means of increased direct acquisition and company visits.
  • Finding needs-based solutions with SMEs, e.g. through the acquisition of joint third-party funded projects or the awarding of service contracts.
  • Needs-based further training and qualification of SMEs via special in-service training courses and qualifications or the supervision of young scientists.
  • Provision of consulting services, e.g. in the form of market research and feasibility analyses for the implementation of technology and product potential in marketable products.
