Senate

The Senate is the most important organ of university self-administration. The Senate decides on cross-departmental matters of fundamental importance - on the university's basic regulations, university development planning, the range of courses on offer, research priorities, appointments and the awarding of academic degrees and honors, the promotion of women and young academics, etc. and adopts the university's statutes.

The Senate elects the President and Vice-Presidents of the university.
The members of the Senate are elected for four years (university employees) or one year (students); the term of office begins on March 1 (employees) or October 1 (students).
