Integrated Design

Department of Design

The bachelor's degree program in Integrated Design combines various design disciplines. In the first year of the program, students learn the fundamentals of visual communication (2D), product design (3D) and time-based media (4D). The third semester is for orientation. In this semester, the typical project process in the various areas will be taught and trained. After this, students will be equipped to work on their own large-scale and small-scale projects in their chosen specialization.

Changing disciplines or a specialization is possible in from the 4th semester onwards. This allows students to define their own study path and to choose their focus on a case-by-case basis. A mobility semester in the 5th or 6th semester offers the opportunity to gain international experience or practical experience in a company. The program also offers practical experience in the professionally equipped workshops on campus as well as theory and language classes. In the 7th semester, students will independently work on their bachelor's thesis under the supervision of two professors.
