Program sequence
Since this master's degree program is completed in a career-integrated manner, the focus is on balance between work and family. Therefore, the students work through the program contents mainly in independent study at home. These individual learning phases are supplemented by attendance phases: For each module, 2-3 on-campus classes take place on the Bernburg Campus of Anhalt University during the semester.
You will be provided with digital documents for your studies (online via the Moodle learning platform), which will enable you to carry out your time spent independently studying in a structured and guided manner and prepare yourself optimally for the examinations.
During the time spent independently studying, you will communicate with the instructors via our e-learning platform, video conferences, e-mail, telephone, etc.
The time spent independently studying at home is supplemented by consultations in Bernburg on 5-7 weekends per semester. These consultations take place on Fridays from 2pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. During the consultations, you will have the opportunity to work on the course material in person with your fellow students and lecturers and ask questions. You will also present papers and project work.
The soft skills modules (e.g. self-organization and personality, leadership, communication and negotiation) are primarily about working on and practising various (communication) techniques together. These consultations have a strong workshop character.
Attendance at the consultations is not compulsory. However, we recommend attendance, as questions can be discussed in a personal exchange and many assignments are prepared in student teams. There is also the opportunity to initiate and maintain networks.
You may be able to apply for educational leave from your employer for the consultations.
The examinations of the modules in the winter semester take place as a block event in an examination week at the end of January/beginning of February in Bernburg. Some of the examinations take place as group examinations. The dates will be arranged so that you have time to prepare for the exams together with your fellow students.
The examinations for the modules in the summer semester take place on the first consultation weekends of the following winter semester.

Stay on campus
Bernburg and the surrounding area offer various accommodation options: Hotels, guesthouses, private landlords in Bernburg and the surrounding area
A limited number of inexpensive guest rooms are also available on the university campus. To reserve a room on campus, please contact Ms. Stephanie Eckstein or Ms. Katrin Grey.
On Fridays, you can take advantage of various offers on campus.
During the semester break and on Saturdays, there are no catering options on campus. You will have to use the facilities in Bernburg.
The University Library at the Strenzfeld site offers an extensive range of media.
Distance learning students can pre-order urgently needed literature. Collection at the weekend is possible via the media box.
Remote Access:
Digital literature searched in the online catalog or in the literature search engine can be accessed after a small browser configuration and authentication with student data.
Training courses:
Regular online training courses are offered on the research options and the reference management program Citavi.

Students with children have the opportunity to have their offspring looked after on campus at Kastanienweg 25 on an hourly basis.
