Biomedical Engineering (M.Sc.)

Please inform us if and when you want to start with our program. It would be nice to get an update about your process (visa, accommodation, arrival in Köthen) from time to time.

For the registration it is mandatory that you provide the following documents:

• original bachelor's degree certificate and transcript (translated)
• valid passport
• 1 passport photo
• admission letter
• a German public health insurance certificate and
• receipt of the semester contribution

Currently there are no tuition fees for the master's degree program in Biomedical Engineering - you only have to pay a semester contribution for each semester.

The semester contribution for this winter semester has to be transferred in full to the following account:

( _ = empty space) Note: In the transfer slip, the student ID number must be written left-aligned and without any gaps to indicate the purpose. Only this will ensure the automatic assignment of your semester fee and your enrollment.

German public health insurance

As requested by law, it is mandatory to have a German public health insurance for students under the age of 30. We will gladly help you to get such health insurance. In this case, please contact us. We can arrange contacts.

A travel insurance or a private insurance is not accepted for registration at a German University.

If you are under the age of 30, you urgently need German public health insurance to enroll at our University. If you are older than 30, you can choose a private health insurance.

Deadline for semester contribution and registration

Winter semester: September 30th
Summer semester: March 31st

The semester contribution fee must be transferred to the account of Anhalt University by September 30th/March 31st. This should be done by all incomers, even if you have not arrived in Köthen yet. The money can be refunded if you are not able to enroll in time.

Banks usually charge for transfer of funds and often subtract those fees from the amount you are transferring. You need to make sure that your bank will transfer the whole amount to the university account. Only then you will be able to get registered.
