Welcome to the Doctoral Center Architecture and Design Research
The Doctoral Center Architecture and Design Research at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences offers Early career researchers the opportunity to obtain their doctorate in the fields of engineering (Dr.-Ing.) or philosophy (Dr. phil.).
The Center is characterized by interdisciplinary cooperation between the Departments of Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation (Department 3) and Design (Department 4) in the following future-oriented research areas, among others:
- Architectural theory
- Building History and Monument Preservation Management
- Design theory
- Remote sensing, photogrammetry and sensor technology
- Structural engineering
- Material and technology in design
- Human-Comupter Interaction/Interactive Media
From the idea to the application for acceptance
- Do you have an idea for a doctoral project? Then find out about supervising professors in your research area further down on this page and request supervision.
- Once you have received a confirmation of supervision, please complete the necessary application documents and submit them digitally by email to Katja Czech(katja.czech@hs-anhalt.de). The documents must be submitted to Katja Czech at least 4 weeks before the doctoral committee meeting.

Enrollment for doctorate
Once you have been accepted into the doctoral center, you must register by submitting an application to the Student Service Center.
You can also enrol. Enrolment is voluntary and is also done by submitting an application to the Student Service Center and presenting the acceptance letter from the doctoral center. At the Köthen (Departments 5, 6 and 7) and Dessau (Departments 3 and 4) campuses, enrolment includes the Germany semester ticket.
