Prof. Dr. Jean Titze

Since completing my studies in Food Technology and Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), I have held various positions in the food industry for more than ten years. I first worked as a management consultant at the Weihenstephan Research Center for Brewing and Food Quality and then as a senior consultant for the international auditing firm Deloitte & Touche. During a stay abroad in Ireland, I managed the brewery at the University College Cork of the National University of Ireland as a Senior Research Scientist until I finally took over as Head of R&D Cereal Ingredients at the Döhler Group in Darmstadt.

In addition to my doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in brewing science at TUM, I completed an additional course of study at the Food Law Academy of the Philipps University in Marburg. I have also been working for many years as a sensory expert for beer and beer-based mixed drinks as well as a test group leader for packaging testing and, since 2016, as an authorized testing representative for cereal-based foods and confectionery for the German Agriculture Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V.).

On January 1, 2016, I was appointed to Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and took over the professorship for Food Technology of Plant Products at the Department of Applied Biosciences and Process Engineering.

As an approved lecturer at TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH, I train students to become Quality Management Specialists (QMF-TÜV) and Quality Management Officers (Quality Management-TÜV). I also train industrial foremen in Food Technology at the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
