Teaching

As part of my multidimensional training approach, the application-oriented teaching of specialist skills for engineering management and leadership practice is the focus of my teaching. I adapt the use of suitable teaching methods to the respective learning and teaching situations. This situational teaching approach ranges from specialist lectures to seminar-style teaching based on current case studies from practice, group work and role-playing to "research-based learning" activities in which students acquire new knowledge independently in an open but structured process.
I aim to achieve the following goals:
-
Encourage university students to see their degree program as a whole and to recognize interactions and interfaces with other disciplines (multidimensional education),
-
strongly link teaching with practice,
-
develop students from mere "consumers of knowledge" into inquisitive people in research and science by motivating them and arousing their interest, and
-
convey lectures as a pleasure through enthusiasm and conviction.

My teaching is pragmatic, constructive and non-ideological.
