If you are an applicant or are already enrolled in the degree program, the following information should help you get started.
Master Nutrition Therapy
An introductory event takes place at the beginning of the semester for all students starting the part-time master's degree program in Nutrition Therapy. Here you will get to know your fellow students and the course organizers personally, and you will receive a lot of information about the organization and the course of study.
You will receive the program for the introductory event together with the invitation by e-mail.
The introductory event for the winter semester 2025/26 will take place on Monday, October 6 from 6:00 pm online.
The consultations for each module are offered as online seminars and/or as a face-to-face weekend (Friday/Saturday), with online seminars taking place predominantly, supplemented by occasional face-to-face seminars. The online seminars take place in the evenings or on Saturdays, while the face-to-face events are held at the weekend (Friday/Saturday). The consultations are spread over the entire semester. The dates of the consultations are listed in a schedule, which you will find in the organization course on the Moodle learning platform after enrolment.
The consultations are not usually compulsory, but participation is generally recommended. The online seminars are usually recorded and made available via the Moodle platform in compliance with data protection regulations.
The examination period at the end of the semester extends over one week in March (winter semester) and one week in September (summer semester). The Degree Program Coordinator will inform you of the examination periods in good time for planning purposes. You can find the examination dates on the Moodle platform in the organization course.
Depending on the module, the examinations may be digital written or oral examinations, term papers, supporting documents and presentations. The examination for each module is offered once a year, always in the semester in which the module is scheduled to be offered. You have a total of 3 examination attempts per module in order to pass it.
You can only take an examination if you have registered for it in advance in the HisQis portal.

General information
The certificate of enrolment will be sent to you by the Student Service Center (SSC) after enrolment has been completed and consists of a temporary paper student ID card, certificates of enrolment and your access data.
The access data consists of a user name and an initial password, whereby the initial password must be changed to a personal password the first time you log in. The following applies:

- Click on "Passwort ändern/Password change" and enter your university e-mail address, your initial password and your new personal password in the next step.
- The personally selected password is now valid for the e-mail account, the Moodle learning platform, the HisQis portal, the SSC portal, the university's WLAN and external access to the library.
To participate in the online seminars, we recommend a laptop or PC equipped with a microphone, speakers and webcam. Alternatively, access is also possible with a tablet or smartphone. To take part in the digital written and oral examinations, you will need a laptop or PC as described above and a stable internet connection.
You will need suitable word processing and presentation programs (e.g. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) for the preparation of performance records and examination components.

If you are enrolled and your university e-mail account is activated, all information about the Degree Program Coordinator will be sent to your university e-mail address, so please check your university e-mail inbox regularly!

The learning materials are available on the Moodle learning platform. There is a separate Moodle course for each module. There is also a cross-semester organization course. You will receive access via your certificate of enrolment. You will be activated for the corresponding courses each semester.
In addition to the learning materials, the Moodle courses contain an introduction to the structure and procedure of the module, how to use the learning materials, further literature recommendations, consultation dates, examination information and contact details of the lecturer. The organizational course contains guidelines and important information on the course of study and examinations. If required, a "taster course" is available for viewing the structure of a Moodle course.
You can also use Moodle to exchange information with your fellow students about course content or organizational matters.

Of course you can use the University Library. There are digital services for literature research and ordering (e.g. e-books). It is also possible to take courses on literature research or literature management (Citavi).
To transfer to the next semester, you must re-register at the Student Service Center (SSC). Reregistration for the next semester takes place within a certain deadline:
- Reregistration for the summer semester: 15.01. to 15.02.
- Reregistration for the winter semester: 15.07. to 15.08.
The tuition fees must be paid during this period. You will receive the instructions and account details from the Degree Program Coordinator or you can find them in the HisQis portal.
Alternatively, you can apply for a semester of leave during the above-mentioned re-registration periods, for which no tuition fees are payable. For further information, please contact the Degree Program Coordinator.
Campus stay
Bernburg offers various accommodation options: from luxury hotels to youth hostels. A limited number of guest rooms are also available on the university campus.

There are only limited catering options on the campus itself at weekends. Please inform yourself in advance. We recommend self-catering.
Day care center "Professor Eule und seine Freunde"
On the Strenzfeld campus in Bernburg, "Prof. Eule und seine Freunde" offers loving and individual childcare in a childminder's apartment.
Students with children have the opportunity to have their offspring looked after on campus at Kastanienweg 25 on an hourly basis. An experienced childminder has been recruited through the Kids e. V. association to provide independent childcare for a maximum of 5 children in the group from Mondays to Saturdays.
