If you are interested in the degree program, you can learn more about the admission requirements, advising possibilities, application documents, deadlines and tuition fees here.
You can also choose when you would like to start your degree program. You can apply either for the winter semester, starting on October 1, or for the summer semester, starting on April 1. If you are unsure, you are welcome to contact the Degree Program Coordinator.
The Degree Program Coordinator will also give you information about the crediting of modules, the recognition of the degree program by the German Nutrition Society (DGE) and about educational leave.

Admission requirements are a qualified degree in nutrition-related, health-related or comparable studies at a college or university with a normal program length of at least 3 years and qualified practical professional experience of at least one year after the first academic degree.
Applicants who have not completed their school education up to university entrance qualification or their university studies at a German-speaking institution must provide evidence of sufficient knowledge of the German language of instruction. The DaF test, level 4xTDN 4 or comparable qualifications are considered sufficient (individual decision).

The following steps are necessary for a successful application to the career-integrated program Master Nutrition Therapy:
Step 1: Register online in the SSC applicant and student portal
First register in our SSC applicant and student portal. You will then receive your access data by e-mail. Please follow the instructions contained therein to activate your access.
Step 2: Complete and submit the application
Select your desired course of study in the SSC applicant and student portal. Complete your personal details, upload your application documents and submit your application online.
Documents required for a complete application:
- Officially certified copy of the degree certificate from your first degree program (if obtained abroad, certified translation of the degree certificate) OR alternatively current transcript of records and approval of admission to the final thesis
- Justification of the desired course of study (letter of motivation)*
- Curriculum vitae in tabular form
- Copy of identity card or passport (both sides)
- Proof of qualified professional experience (see SPO)*
- Certificate of exmatriculation
In addition:
- Language certificate*, if applicable
- Proof of professional qualifications*, if applicable

You can apply for the Nutrition Therapy master's degree program in the winter semester, starting on October 1, and in the summer semester, starting on April 1 of each year.

The following deadlines apply:
- Application period for the winter semester: January 15 to September 15 of each year
- Application period for the summer semester: September 15 to March 15 of each year
- Start of summer semester: April 1st of each year
- Start of winter semester: October 1st of each year

- Introductory event: You will be informed of the date after enrollment.
The course is subject to fees. The course fee is 1,500 euros per semester. There are no additional costs for the digital learning materials provided or for participation in the consultations and examinations. Furthermore, the use of the library, technical and organizational support as well as course administration are included in the course fees.
There may be additional costs, e.g. for accommodation and meals during your stay on campus, travel costs or printing costs.

It is possible to have content from degree programs or further education courses already completed (at the same level, in accordance with the German Qualifications Framework) recognized or credited. These must match the subject matter, scope and learning outcomes of one of the modules offered on the master's degree program.
The corresponding application for recognition or crediting of achievements can only be submitted after enrolment. The application must be submitted to the Degree Program Coordinator at the beginning of the respective semester, at the latest by the end of the first month of the semester.
