A small city like Köthen doesn’t have to be boring. Once a week, 10 to 15 participants from different countries meet together for around half an hour. They coordinate the dates and content of community activities. This includes e.g. sports tournaments, visits to the movie theater, or the soapbox derby at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences’ Student Days.
If you help with this work, you will learn how to prepare and organize events. At the same time, you will see the many opportunities there are for interesting leisure time activities in Köthen and make contacts with the city’s residents.
Offers for students
In this series of lectures at the district adult education center, students of the Studienkolleg provide insights into the history, nature and culture of their home country and also describe how they perceive their study home of Köthen. You can look forward to an interesting and, above all, authentic lecture, during which questions are expressly encouraged. (This event is free of charge).

Who wants to do sport? There are many offers:
- University Sports of the HS Anhalt
- Cooperation with the sports club CFC Germania 03 Köthen (volleyball, running etc.)
- Every Thursday, 19h00, in the sports hall at Ludwigsgymnasium Köthen (Wallstraße 31A, Köthen (Anhalt), 06366, Germany)
The International Student Club has been organizing many events since May 2010. The International Student Club is always open to new and creative suggestions.
