The Center of Life Sciences (CLS) is a scientific institution of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences with its own right to award doctorates . As an interdisciplinary research institute and doctoral center, the CLS supports doctoral students, researchers and professorial members in carrying out innovative research tasks. At CLS, the research groups active in the life sciences work together in three main scientific areas:
- Biotechnology with a focus on algae and natural product-based active ingredients
- Food Technology and Nutrition
- Sustainable land use and biodiversity
The aim is to bundle the activities of these research groups in order to offer potential partners from science and industry complex research capacities at a high level. The close cooperation between the various research groups and departments of the CLS promotes interdisciplinary thinking and provides young scientists with an excellent education.
